Automation increases with size of firm. The information from the latest IAPP research reports that less than 10 percent of firms with fewer than 1,000 employees and less than 20 percent of firms with fewer than 15,000 employees have implemented e-invoicing. Large firms are quickly converting to electronic invoicing to reduce their processing costs; however, mid- to small-firms are delaying investments in e-invoicing until the cost of implementation becomes more affordable.
